With an investment of over $ 10 million, was inaugurated on Monday-by legendary golfer Jack Nicklaus, the golf course Punta Mita Bahia, which will produce a major tourist attraction, capital gains, a movement of money and jobs in the region.
With the presence of Fernando Senderos Mestre, Chairman of the Board-Dine Group, the largest shareholder of Punta Mita, one of the most important designers of golf courses in the world, Jack Nicklaus, opened this new scenario, an 18-hole championship course, brings the best conditions to practice this sport, besides golfers will enjoy the extraordinary beauty of the destination.
NEY GONZALEZ IS A GREAT PROMOTER: Senderos Mestre
I think this is a project already well established, few are like this, and all the infrastructure it has, probably this project-which has such a good image, will continue to develop rapidly, said Fernando Senderos Mestre, Chairman of Dine Group Council.
Senderos Mestre said he remained confident in Nayarit and investing in the state because the Governor Ney Gonzalez definitely gave a big boost, he knew the project since its inception and has always continued to support us because it is a great promoter, we've done a great team and since the beginning we have felt little support from her party as well as municipal authorities, he added.
The investor said that this project is a detonator: Beyond being a great investment, is for more people excited by and want to live here, buying condos, and a greater number of tourists coming to the hotels.
We always had the illusion of making a development that could be the best in the world, that was our dream, and I think we're doing, concluded Fernando Senderos Mestre, Chairman of the Group Dine.
INVESTOR CONFIDENCE IN NAYARIT: Hector Paniagua
Meanwhile, Hector Paniagua Salazar, Mayor of Bahía de Banderas, said opening the second golf course in Punta de Mita is to strengthen investor confidence in tourism, the golf course is like a sea: are anchors that tourists have a great impact because they attract tourism, and when tourism comes in and acquires property also has great value, he noted.
He stressed that the two effects that continue to strengthen in the Riviera Nayarit are: raising the hotel occupancy points of all kinds, and the purchase of properties in the area.
The large number of clusters around the golf courses there with great tourism villas and properties, place a high value to all of Nayarit and Mexico, and of course, to Bahia de Banderas, he said.
Riviera Nayarit should feel very happy, that's why we must continue to support the investment the government being a facilitator, as is the Governor Ney Gonzalez, thereby stimulating investment and reach even more, our people need to also improve the economy of their families, concluded the Mayor of Bahía de Banderas.

Investors warned of land-banking scheme based in Mexico
November 17th, 2009Investors are being warned by New Brunswick Securities Commission (NBSC) staff about a potential land-banking investment scheme.
Securities regulators in Saskatchewan and Ontario have ordered land-banking companies based in Puerto Vallarta to cease trading. Regulatory authorities are continuing their investigations into these entities. The NBSC says investors should be cautious of offers to buy securities related to the following companies because they are not registered to sell securities in New Brunswick: • Landbankers International MX, S.A. DE C.V.• Sierra Madre Holdings MX, S.A. DE C.V.
• L&B Landbanking Trust S.A. DE C.V. Land-banking is a securities-related transaction whereby an individual invests in land in anticipation that it will later be sold at a greater value. Investors should be cautious of land-banking when the land is being sold in a location with which they are not familiar, the NBSC says. Several individuals are alleged to be involved in selling or promoting these securities to Canadians. They include Brian J. Wolf Zacharias, Roger Fernando Ayoso Loyo, Alan Hemmingway, Kelly Friesen, Sonja A. McAdam, Ed Moore, Kim Moore, Jason Rogers, and Dave Urrutia. via:

Crossing the border for honeymoon
November 11th, 2009Honeymoon activities include:
◗ Ziplining through the jungle from one tree-house to another on 163 meter-long cables. We were paired up with another young couple on their honeymoon. The guy's wife had a nervous breakdown in the middle of it and demanded to be taken back to the base. I tried to hold in my laughter as her husband kept asking sheepishly, "Is it okay if I stay?"
◗ Scuba diving with tropical fish on a remote island. It's truly a treat to see natural, government-protected, raw beauty. Las Marietas islands were jaw-dropping. The colorful fish swim right up to curious snorklers. If only we had remembered to bring batteries for our underwater digital camera…
◗ Las Caletas island. Not a true island, but deemed so because you can only access the cove by boat. We watched a contemporary play about old Mexican wedding rituals, infused with modern ballet. The giant flaming pyramid in the background was a nice touch.
While we stayed in "new" Vallarta, we still visited "Old Town." The famous boardwalk statues of mermaids and archangels made the 100-degree stroll less exhausting.
A highlight of our trip was getting to witness 20 or so baby turtles hatch on the beach and try to scurry into the ocean. The resort collected all of the babies in a bucket and took them to a "safe place" for them to grow a little larger before releasing them into the sea…
And of course, one can't forget about the food. My God, the food. I'd like to think that taco trucks are pretty close to the real deal, but when you grab fish ceviche or crab enchiladas, you can't help but swear-off Taco Bell altogether.
