Hot tacos!

This call draws all Mexicans regardless of their social standing and on any occasion.

Tacos are the reference food in Mexico, they are the greatest and tastiest proof that our ancestral corn-based culture cuts through all strata of society. And of how this tortilla based meal has become a staple in all homes, kitchens, markets and streets of Mexico.

Vallarta Botanical Gardens review

May 3rd, 2012
Media_httpwwwpuertova_vetua

We’d heard about Vallarta Botanical Gardens recently and I read someone called it “a new favorite” or something like that, so I guessed the place might not be a bad option to visit. We planned the trip on the last day in town, visited the site the night before to check the public hours and started off early in the morning, planning to arrive close to 10AM. The trip is south as if going to Boca de Tomatlan, passing Mismaloya and Los Arcos on the way.

History of Mexican Wine

May 3rd, 2012
Media_httpwwwpuertova_yatbd

Mexico is the oldest American wine producer, but its industry of quality wines is relatively recent. Wine was consumed as food, medicine and to regain strength.

In Pre-Columbian times, native Indians used wild vines to prepare a drink to which they added other fruit and honey. These uncultivated vines were laden with bunches of grapes, but due to their acidity they did not produce wine. Several heterogeneous species of wild grapes existed but they were unlike the European vitis vinifera, the most suitable specie for producing quality wines.

Puerto Vallarta Typical Local Dishes

April 18th, 2012
Media_httpwwwpuertova_bgswl

Puerto Vallarta, as you’d expect, has a wide variety of options when it comes to eating. What you wouldn’t expect is the exceptional quality of the food you’re offered here.

Vallarta is actually an important culinary destination in itself. A mix of international chefs, discerning gourmands that have made the city their home town, a long running gourmet festival, the local Mexican food traditions, that are centuries old plus quality ingredients from sea and land combine into great food, great prices and an ever expanding list of options.

Puerto Vallarta Malecon, a city favorite

April 17th, 2012
Media_httpwwwpuertova_mrfiw

Now Puerto Vallarta’s Malecon ver. 2.0 (or is it 3.0) will do exactly that, burn into your memory (in a nice way, of course), colors, tradition, art and just plain ol’ beauty will make that an unavoidable fact.

North side starts off by Hotel Rosita, ends by the Amphitheater beside the main plaza.
Attractions and sightseeing: statues, stores, street and sea-side artists, the sea, the bay, the sunsets, restaurants, bars and more.
